An analog, radial, circular or needle gauge that rotates around a point and displays the values on a scale.

Idea is that it’s a simple and small utility that can be easily included in VB.NET Windows application.
What I’m looking for is 1. conversion code from the above description to some.NET code.

A Corrugated/Wavy or Pertusi type gauge.
Can be used for displaying values using
a needle, scale and text.
Useful for instrumentation and
instrumentation projects.
A Chart control for displaying values
from one or more data sources.


If you are using.Net 2.0 then you can use the ellipse shape and set all four corners to the center of the client rectangle.
If you are using.Net 3.5 then you can use the Chart Control in the Extended WPF Toolkit.
Additionally, the Extended WPF Toolkit has a RadialGauge control that is a little easier to use.


I created this one as an exercise and thought it would be useful to anyone who happens to need one.
The idea is to create a gauge using an Image. I decided to use an PNG (portable network graphics) file because I am lazy.
The little bit of code below uses a XML Document called gauge_definitions.xml that can be created using Notepad as follows:


It then uses the code below to access the Image then set it as background for the gauge:
